Well, let me break it down for you. Our packages, including venue hire, food and drinks, start from $8,000 for a cozy affair with 20 of your nearest and dearest (think mid-week magic from Monday to Thursday). If you’re looking to throw a bash for 100 folks on a Friyay, Saturday, or Sunday, it’s around $20,000 – and that covers everything from venue and chapel hire to a delicious three-course meal and drinks.

Drinks
First, we’ve got drinks packages – simple, straight-up, and perfect for those who want to keep the drinks flowing without a fuss. Then there’s the good old bar tab option – set a limit and let your friends and family enjoy a round or two on you. Take your pick and let’s raise a glass to love, laughter and happily ever after!

48-Hour Venue Hire – Ceremony and Reception
Our couples enjoy full and exclusive use of the venue the day before for rehearsal and setup plus 7-hours of service on the day of the wedding and guests can retrieve their abandoned cars any time the day after the wedding.

Venue Hire Includes:

  • 48-hour exclusive use of the private estate and wedding venue
  • plantation style chapel
  • outdoor ceremony locations and use of outdoor furniture
  • reception barn seating up to 220 guests and licensed until midnight
  • wedding planner and on the day wedding coordinator including creation of a shared runsheet, 1 x 3-hour planning meeting within one month of booking confirmation, menu selection consultation, styling consultation, 1 x 1-hour refresh meeting just before the wedding, liaison with your vendors and as many visits, emails or phone calls as it takes to ensure your wedding is on track
  • tableware: premium fluted glassware; gold or silver base plates; crockery; heavyweight premium stainless steel cutlery; serving ware
  • round or rectangle tables: heavy-weight damask tablecloths; napkins in white/black/sage

Frequently Asked
Questions

What is the minimum number of guests?

During peak period ie Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays the minimum number of guests is 50 adult equivalents. For Mondays through to Thursdays the minimum is a much more intimate 20 adult equivalents (think private chef & butler type service levels).

0-4 years old are free
5-12 years old @ 50% of the adult price
13 years and older @ full adult price

Adult equivalent example
50 adults plus 2 x 13 y.o. children 
equates to 50 adults + (2 x 0.5) = 51 adult equivalents

Can we bring our own alcohol?

Pioneer Country is fully licensed and to retain our liquor license we must control all sales and supply of liquor on site. Therefore alcohol is not to be brought onto the premises by either the client, guests or 3rd party service providers.

Fortunately this means it is Pioneer Country’s responsibility to ensure all bar staff are responsible service of alcohol trained. It also means you do NOT have to apply to the NSW Dep. of Liquor & Gaming for a temporary liquor license because we already have an on-premises liquor license.

Our liquor license goes until 12 mid night.

Can we bring our own caterer or food trucks?

Unfortunately this option is no longer available however our in-house chef will NOT disappoint. If you want a food truck vibe please consider our night market hand cart menu options.

The Pioneer Country venue hire includes styling and event management, what other service providers (expenses) will I require?

Pioneer Country recommends you organise at least the following services and that they be booked in the following order:
1. celebrant
2. photographer/videographer
3. cake
4. flowers
(bridal party flowers, table arrangements optional, chapel arrangements optional)
5. music (either DJ or live musicians)

Is it cheaper to book mid-week?

Typically you can save $1,500 on your venue hire if you choose to hold your wedding on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday.

Due to increased labour costs Sundays and public holidays incur a 15 % surcharge for food and beverages (not applicable to venue hire).

Does Pioneer Country offer accommodation?

We don’t need to because we are so close to town (10 mins). We recommend:

For the bride and her tribe we recommend the gracious Belle River House at Tumbulgum. She sleeps 16-18 adults and is a scenic 13 km drive from Pioneer Country. Rydges Airport Hotel & The Pink Hotel Coolangatta also offer special discounts for Pioneer Country wedding guests.

Alternatively, The Colonial & River Retreat caravan parks are walking distance (700 meters) and offer affordable riverfront cabins.

We are only a 10 minute taxi ride from Coolangatta-Tweed Heads.

Guests are also welcome to leave their cars in our off street carpark and collect them at their leisure the following day.
